Fashion photographer Stephen Meisel—known
for his controversial but brilliant work for Vogue and Calvin Klein—has
created an artful and arresting War on Terror-themed fashion spread for
the September 2006 issue of Vogue Italia. Given the timing, the pics
are likely to generate a lot of buzz. But the photography—showing
models in various stages of undress facing riot squads and airport
